
Bengtsarvet are reclusive Swedish trio who make towering, shoegazy post-rock. The band emerged from the woodlands in 2011 with a double-A-side single, played live once, and then went back into hibernation. They have now re-emerged five years later with their second single, “Ubåten” (that’s “submarine” is Swedish), an oceanic instrumental powered by thick, pulsing analog synths. It’s a little like nuclear-powered Ulrich Schnauss. Listen:
