Eleanor Friedberger has just shared the video for “He Didn’t Mention His Mother,” the first single from her forthcoming solo album, New View. Directors Mark & Spencer shot the video while Eleanor and her band (the members of Icewater) were making the album at a farm in Upstate NY, and mixed footage of them recording it live with scenes of downtime. The video’s a nice little glimpse into that world and you can watch it below.
You can catch Eleanor on tour next year, including the kickoff date at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on February 18. Tickets are still available. New View is out January 22 via Frenchkiss.
