Cocorosie sign to Joyful Noise, celebrate 20th anniversary with new single “Least I Have You”

Cocorosie, aka sisters Bianca and Sierra Casady, are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a musical duo and have just announced they’ve signed to indie label Joyful Noise. They’re in the studio now working on their first album for the label (and first in five years) and while details of that have not been revealed, they have just shared a new single.

“Up until this song, we used to take our pain out on each other,” says Sierra says of “Least I Have You.” “Until we allowed our sisterhood to become the antidote to the damage that came in our younger years.” Bianca adds that this song came “just in a simple way. It’s vulnerable. It’s cute. It’s cliche. It’s all these things I don’t think we would have been able to approach in the past.”

“Least I Have You” was written and performed by Sierra and Bianca, with addition drums from Deerhoof‘s Greg Saunier. You can watch the video, which CocoRosie directed, below.
