Last year, Chicago’s Pink Frost released the Traitors EP, which could appeal fans of the band’s hometown heroes Smashing Pumpkins or ’70s psych/proto-metal. Now they’ve made a video for the EP’s title track, directed by Von Bilka, which premieres below.
Pink Frost are currently in the studio finishing up their third album with engineer Gregoire Yeche, who also worked on Traitors and 2013’s Sundowning. Here’s what guitarist/vocalist Adam Lukas says about the upcoming album:
Going back this time felt like going home. We knew what to expect and what worked previously and what we could improve upon. Think we found a great balance of being comfortable in the studio without compromising the spontaneity of the performances. And that was key this time around. Really focusing on capturing what we do live on tape. We brought an insane amount of gear. Paige and I were running a couple full stacks in the main live room. The sound in the room was so epically loud it was hard not to be inspired. There is still something magical about the sound of four dudes rocking out with everything on 10.
