Rochester emo band Carpool have signed to SideOneDummy, and they’ve re-released their 2020 album Erotic Nightmare Summer (which originally came out on Acrobat Unstable) on the label. Two different vinyl variants are available now.
“Signing to a label like SideOneDummy feels surreal,” the band says. “Growing up with bands like Rozwell Kid, PUP, Microwave and Title Fight it feels like they were always on my radar. To be re-releasing a record that has meant so much to us and our past while also being able to release the future of Carpool under them we feel incredibly excited about the opportunity.”
We previously called the album “a pretty undeniable collection of mathy, anthemic emo/punk – somewhere in the middle of Joyce Manor, Algernon Cadwallader, Cap’n Jazz.” If you haven’t heard it yet, you can stream it below.
