If you like when aggressive hardcore and and catchy alt-rock choruses come together, you might wanna check out Arizona punks Bite The Hand. They recently released their debut EP Conned Out of Life on Wiretap Records, and today they’ve put out a video for its song “Stay Mad,” a song that a lot of people are probably relating to this week. Vocalist Echo Breen says:
There are so many broken systems and injustices that we have to bear witness to on a daily basis, it can feel overwhelming and impossible to work through. When you are down bad, you can stay mad. This song focuses on my anger that follows me around like a dog, but it’s anger that often motivates us to change in a positive way.
[…] We want more women and marginalized voices to be recognized in hardcore, and in general. And being mad doesn’t mean being cruel––we want our shows to be a space where everyone feels welcome to scream, shout, dance, and fight against the bullshit happening in our world.
