Beyoncé and Willie Nelson will join Kamala Harris at a campaign rally in Houston, TX on Friday, Washington Post reports. Harris has been using Beyoncé’s Lemonade song “Freedom” as her walk-on music at rallies, and it also appeared in a campaign video; rumors had abounded that Beyoncé would perform at the final night of the Democratic National Convention too, but her representative said she was “never scheduled to be there.”
Willie, meanwhile, is also appearing at a Cannabis community Zoom Call to rally support for Harris today (10/24), along with Whoopi Goldberg, Margo Price, Brittney Spencer, Ricky Williams, Colorado Governor Jared Polis and US Representative Brittany Pettersen, Dahr Jamail, and more. It happens at 7 PM ET and registration is open now.
Other big names who have come out for Harris in recent days include Eminem, who introduced Obama at a Michigan rally, and Bruce Springsteen, who is set to perform at two rallies this month.
Earlier this month, Michael Stipe played R.E.M. songs at two Harris rallies, one with Jason Isbell joining him.
