Anti-Flag have posted a statement to their Patreon stating that they’ve broken up, and they deleted their website and social media. Their statement reads:
Anti-Flag has disbanded. the patreon has been switched into a mode where it will no longer charge the monthly fee.
i will begin to process refunds to all patrons in the coming weeks. once all refunds are processed the patreon page will also be removed.
The announcement came after allegations against an unnamed “singer of a political punk band” were made that many believe are about Justin Sane. A representative for Anti-Flag tells us “The official statement is no comment.”
Get Better Records, Wolves & Wolves & Wolves & Wolves, American Television, Celebration Summer, Hanalei, and The Darien Gap are among those who have cut ties with Anti-Flag and/or A-F Records. Punk Rock Saves Lives have cut ties with Justin Sane, who was previously on their board of directors, writing, “Punk Rock Saves Lives has cut ties with Justin Sane effective immediately, in light of recent allegations against him. The PRSL board and directors have made this decision knowing the entire story has not unfolded yet. However, we are making this statement and decision in the interest of our community and keeping in faith with our core values.”
