Australia’s glammy garage-punks Amyl & The Sniffers have just announced that their debut album will be out May 24 via ATO in North America, Rough Trade in the UK/EU and King Gizzard’s Flightless Records in Australia. While further details have not been shared they did share rip-roaring new single “Monsoon Rock” and its video which was co-directed by singer Amy Taylor. Watch that below.
Amyl & The Sniffers are known for their wild, high energy shows — and Taylor’s undeniably magnetic stage presence — and if you’re heading to Austin for SXSW next week, they’re playing five shows there including the Levitation showcase and the Thrasher/Vans Death Match. They’re touring the West Coast after that, but have just announced more North American dates for the summer, including a NYC show at Market Hotel on July 19. Tickets for that show will be on sale soon.
