So many artists, so many songs, so little time. THE DARKNESS – “WALKING THROUGH FIRE”
Hard rock bands singing about rock n’ roll is as old as the form itself but The Darkness take it into self-deprecating territory: “We’re only doing this‚ cos it’s fun / Don’t even think my mum bought the last one.” New album Dreams on Toast is out in March.

EVERYTHING IS RECORDED – “NEVER FELT BETTER” FT SAMPHA & FLORENCE WELCH
Everything is Recorded, the collaborative project from XL Records head Richard Russell, releases third album Temporary on Friday and here’s one last early taste featuring Sampha and Florence.

NATHANIEL RATELIFF & GREGORY ALAN ISAKOV – “FLOWERS”
Gregory Alan Isakov is supporting Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats on their arena tour, and they’ve shared a new collaborative single, “Flowers.” “In the moment, because so much time had passed, it was hard to remember who had written what – our words becoming each other’s,” Rateliff says. “Now, listening back, I remember lines Gregory offered and others I did, but it truly is a work of us together, as one.” Isakov adds, “My longtime friend Nathaniel Rateliff brought some pieces of a song by the farm a little while back and we finished it and tracked it late that night. We ran around the studio tracking instruments and ideas thinking we might re-track it all later, but just loved how the first take came out. Hope you love it as much as we do.”

FINE FOOD MARKET – “SOMETIMES”
Montreal’s Sophie Perra makes music as Fine Food Market and will release new album I’m afraid to be in love with someone who crashes their car that much on May 16. First single “Sometimes” rides the line between synthpop and vibey country-inspired atmospherics.

IDLE HEIRS (COALESCE) – “PILLOW TALK”
Coalesce vocalist Sean Ingram’s new band Idle Heirs have shared another towering, sludgy taste of their debut album for Relapse, Life Is Violence.

BOLDY JAMES & CHUCK STRANGERS – “WHALE FISHING”
Boldy James has a Chuck Strangers-produced, Alchemist-mixed/mastered album called Token of Appreciation arriving this week (2/27), and its first single is a lush, soul-sample-fueled rap song called “Whale Fishing.”

WITCH POST – “DREAMING”
Alaska Reid and Dylan Fraser are self-releasing their debut EP as Witch Post, Beast, on April 16, and the latest single is the ’90s alt-rock inspired “Dreaming.”

THE MOONLANDINGZ – “GIVE ME MORE”
The Moonlandingz are the trio of Lias Saoudi (Fat White Family), Adrian Flanagan (Acid Klaus) and Dean Honer (Add N to X); No Rocket Required is out in April and this is the second single.

COLIN MILLER – “CADILLAC”
Colin Miller (of MJ Lenderman & The Wind) has announced a new album, Losin’, which Lenderman and other Wind/Wednesday members play on, and you can read more about the LP and lead single “Cadillac” here.
