So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
ARCADIA GREY – “EVERYTHING IS MISERABLE & I AM BROODING ALONE IN MY DARK DARK ROOM”
Arcadia Grey, who are fresh off opening for glass beach (and gearing up to play Pug Fest and The Fest), will release their new album Casually Crash on May 10 via Smartpunk Records, and it’ll include this new dose of theatrical emo-pop.

PARDONER – “FUTURE OF MUSIC”
San Francisco slacker punks Pardoner have announced a new EP, Paranoid in Hell, due May 24 via Convulse Records. Vocalist/guitarist Max Freeland says of new single “Future of Music,” “I was going for a Dils-esque track with a bit of The Mice influence, kind of played through a filter of slacker rock type stuff. Lyrically, it’s a close-minded little number about feeling disdain towards the current shape of rock and roll music, in function and form, in both the packaging and the content.”

DRIP-FED – “STEADY HABIT”
Austin punks Drip-Fed have announced a new LP, Sold For Parts, due June 7 via Head2Wall Records, and here’s the gritty, revved-up lead single “Steady Habit.”

Philly punks Froggy have dropped a raw, raucous, self-titled EP.

ALEX IZENBERG & THE EXILES – “ONLY THE MOON KNOWS”
Alex Izenberg has announced his fourth album and full-band debut Alex Izenberg & The Exiles, which will be out July 26 via Weird World / Domino. It was produced by Phil Ek (Father John Misty, Built to Spill) and features contributions from drummer Jay Rudolph (Weyes Blood), keyboardist Tyler Cash (Devendra Banhart), bassist Max Whipple (Sparks), pedal steel guitarist Connor Gallaher (Lana Del Rey), saxophonist Colin Kupka, guitarist Dashiell Le Francis, and vocalists Marina Allen, Juliana Giraffe, Gracie Jackson, and Colby Nathan. This is the warm, inviting first single.

KAMASI WASHINGTON – “GET LIT” (FEAT. GEORGE CLINTON AND D SMOKE)
Here’s another song from Kamasi Washington’s new album Fearless Movement which drops this week. “Get Lit” features P-Funk leader George Clinton and rapper D Smoke.

REDD KROSS – “CANDY COLOURED CATASTROPHE”
Redd Kross have announced their self-titled eighth album, which will be out June 28 via In the Red. It’s their first in five years, an 18-track double-LP which also marks the 45th anniversary of the band, which Jeff & Steve McDonald started when they were 15 and 11 respectively.
