9 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

LOCAL NATIVES – “APRIL”

Local Natives have announced a new album, But I’ll Wait For You, which is intended as a companion to 2019’s Time Will Wait For No One. It comes out April 19 via Loma Vista, and the first single is the soaring indie rock song “April.”

SEGA BODEGA – “ELK SKIN”

After releasing “Deer Teeth” in January, Sega Bodega has announced his third album, Dennis, due out on April 26 via his own ambient tweets label. He’s also shared another single, “Elk Skin,” a hypnotic slice of electro-pop.

SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE – “NEW YEAR’S SONG”

Six Organs’ gorgeously bare-bones folk vibes are in excellent form on the latest taste of Time Is Glass.

NISA – “BREACH”

Nisa’s debut album Shapeshifting is out next month, and the latest single is electro-pop single “Breach,” which she says is “a rehearsal of a break-up with an inconstant version of myself.”

AMERICAN CULTURE – “SURVIVE”

American Culture have shared the second single off their upcoming album Hey Brother, It’s Been A While, following “Let It Go” ft. Midwife. New single “Survive” finds them in jammy, guitar-forward ’90s-style indie rock territory.

WEBBED WING – “FURTHER” & “BURN IT DOWN”

Webbed Wing (members of Superheaven) have announced their third album, Vol. III, and they’ve shared two songs from it. Read more here.

MARINA ALLEN – “RED CLOUD”

Here’s the first single from Marina Allen’s third album, Eight Pointed Star.

JOSHUA MOSHIER – “FOUNTAIN GLASS” FT MACIE STEWART

Emmy-nominated composer Joshua Moshier (Baskets, Documentary Now!) will release a new album, Semipermanence, on May 24 via Teardrop Mandolin Records. The album features contributions from Jeff Parker, Caroline Davis, Akenya, and on this song, Macie Stewart.
