So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
HITECH – “SHADOWREALM” (ft. ZELOOPERZ)
Detroit ghettotech sensations HiTech (the trio of King Milo, Milf Melly, & 47Chops) follow their acclaimed single “SPANK!” with another high-energy banger, “Shadowrealm.” It’s out now via Loma Vista, and it features another charismatic Detroiter, Zelooperz. The song also follows the announcement that HiTech are playing Coachella.

EDVARD GRAHAM LEWIS (WIRE) – “LAST SCENE OF ALL”
Wire bassist Edvard Graham Lewis has announced new solo album Alreet? which will be out January 24 via Upp Records. His dark style is front and center on disquiting first single “Last Scene of All.”

DELIVERY – “THE NEW ALPHABET”
Melbourne band Delivery have shared another single from their upcoming album Force Majeure. Says singer/guitarist James Lynch: “Weirdly and unintentionally, The New Alphabet is something of a spiritual twin to ‘The Complex’ from our first album; both tracks come in at number six on the record, are built around wonky guitars over a slightly loosened groove, and both share a similar lyrical concept that I sometimes revert back to for Delivery. Which is, taking on the perspective of a character who thinks they’re topshit, when it’s glaringly obvious that they’re not.”

SPINE – “SPINE CREW”
Kansas City hardcore band Spine have dropped a kickass new single, “Spine Crew,” via Convulse Records.

TRACY BONHAM – “SAFE WITH ME”
Proceeds from Tracy Bonham’s new single go to The Trevor Project. “It is clear to me, now more than ever, that our LGBTQ+ community needs to know there are people in the world that support and love them,” she says, adding, “Music is the only thing I know how to do well and this feels like one thing I can offer right now to make things better in the world.”

ASKYSOBLACK – “YOU SIT USELESS”
Shoegazy alt-rockers ASkySoBlack have detailed their debut albumn Touch Heaven and shared a third single. Read more here.

THE CHILLS – “IF THIS WORLD WAS MADE FOR ME”
In the years before his untimely death in July, The Chills frontman Martin Phillipps talked of how he was going back through his archive of early unrecorded songs and finally putting them to tape for a new album. This years-in-the-making passion project, which was finished with the blessing of the band, his family and management, has now been announced: Spring Board: The Early Unrecorded Songs, a double album, will be out February 28 via Fire.

HOT CHIP & SLEAFORD MODS – “NOM NOM NOM” & “CAT BURGLAR”
Hot Chip and Sleaford Mods have teamed up for a new 7″ single, out via Friendly Records with proceeds benefitting Warchild. “This collaboration was born when Hot Chip invited us to join one of Abbey Road’s exclusive Lock-In Sessions,” say Sleaford Mods. It’s the kind of collab where you definitely feel both artists’ fingerprints, from Hot Chip’s playful production to Sleaford Mods’ signature basslines and creatively profane wordplay. The artwork is by acclaimed illustrator and cartoonist David Shrigley.
