So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
JAH WOBBLE & JON KLEIN – “WHO WINS”
Jah Wobble (PiL, Invaders of the Heart) and Jon Klein (Siouxsie & The Banshees) have teamed up for dubby new album Automated Paradise which will be out March 27 via Dimple Discs. There’s a lot of heavy rock in “Who Wins,” too.

TEEN SUICIDE – “SPIDERS”
Teen Suicide’s new album Nude descending staircase headless arrives next month, and they’ve shared a new single, “Spiders,” which has Kitty Ray taking on lead vocals. “This song was written on a sunny day in Florida, with birds chirping at the sliding glass door. The brightness of the day made me weirdly angry and I needed to release some venom. I wanted to scream about a girl who tied knots in my mind, and I wanted the guitars to do a certain thing, so Sam and I stayed inside and plugged away at it. This is the first song I’ve written for a full band with a human drummer. I was absolutely terrified to sing it live when we started playing it in 2024–it used to come out of me weak, like a baby goat bleat. Since then the song hurts less and screaming has helped me find my voice. I feel like it turned out pretty cool!”

ANJIMILE – “RUST & WIRE”
“This is a song about love and lust, blooming in the summertime,” Anjimile says of “Rust & Wire,” the final advance single off his new album You’re Free to Go. “It’s about kissing in the warm rain and sleeping with the windows open at night while the breeze floats by. What it feels like when things are easy.”

MORGAN NAGLER – “HURT”
Morgan Nagler’s debut solo album, I’ve Got Nothing to Lose, and I’m Losing It, is out this Friday, and ahead of its release she’s shared a final advance single, the Americana-tinged “Hurt.” It was co-written with Suzy Shinn and features backing vocals from Bethany Cosentino, Allison Crutchfield, and Madi Diaz.

FRANCIS OF DELIRIUM – “IT’S A BEAUTIFUL LIFE”
Jana Bahrich announced her second album as Francis of Delirium, Run, Run Pure Beauty, due out May 29 via Dalliance Recordings. About the inspiration for new single “It’s a Beautiful Life,” she cites “A coffee I had with a pianist who was about to play a Philip Glass piece at the Philharmonie in Berlin, watching a couple break up on a New York City park bench, walking past a choir rehearsing in a basement, and examining a loneliness that feels ingrained into daily life,” adding, “I’m not denying pain but trying to find the beauty alongside it.”

MEKONS “MUDCRAWLERS” FT. BENJI WEBBE
Mekons have handed last year’s terrific HORROR over to Pere Ubu‘s Tony Maimone, who also played in Mekons in the early ’90s, for a full album remix titled HORRORble (Mekons Vs. Tony Maimone In Dub Conference). It’s out June 12 via Fire and this first single features Benji Webbe of UK Dancehall Metal legends Skindred.

POWER SNATCH – “PERFECT HAND” (THIS IS LORELEI COVER)
This is Lorelei announced a new “super deluxe” version of his excellent 2024 album Box for Buddy, Box for Star, featuring different artists covering its songs. Along with that is Hayley Williams taking on “Perfect Hand” with her new Power Snatch project with Daniel James. Read more about it here.
