So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
CARL COX & PERRY FARRELL – “JOYA”
Jane’s Addiction may be dunzo, but Perry Farrell is back, teaming with British techno legend Carl Cox on this new track. Carl calls it “full of spirit, energy, and that feeling of pure joy on the dancefloor.”

ALEMEDA & DOECHII – “BEAT A B!TCH UP”
TDE labelmates Alemeda and Doechii teamed up for a new collaboration, “Beat A B!tch Up.” Alemeda says it’s “about caring so deeply for someone that you’d do anything for them, even if they wouldn’t do the same for you. Obviously, the title is not literal, it’s more about how far I’d go to show up for people, even when it hurts me.”

FRED AGAIN.. – “OGDDUB” FT. DANNY BROWN, BEAM & PARISI
Fred again. is back with the second single from USB002, “OGDdub,” which features Danny Brown, Beam & Parisi.

HAIM – “TIE YOU DOWN” FT. BON IVER
HAIM announced a deluxe edition of their 2025 album I quit, due out October 17 via Columbia. It includes three previously unreleased tracks, and they’ve shared one of them, the country-tinged “Tie You Down,” featuring Bon Iver. It follows Danielle Haim’s guest appearance on Bon Iver’s 2025 album SABLE, fABLE.

BOLDY JAMES & NICHOLAS CRAVEN – “NO BLEMISHES”
Detroit rapper Boldy James has released approximately one million albums in 2025 alone, including one with Montreal producer Nicholas Craven, and now he’s releasing a second new album with Craven (their fourth overall), Criminally Attached. Release date TBA, but here’s the soul-infused lead single “No Blemishes.”

IMOGEN HEAP – “AFTERCARE”
Imogen Heap’s new single “Aftercare” features her AI alter ego, Mogen. According to a press release, “Through timbre transfer with Mogen, Imogen uses her AI model as an instrument to process her studio recorded vocals.”

DAVID BYRNE & HAYLEY WILLIAMS – “OPEN THE DOOR”
There’s been a lot of David Byrne/Hayley Williams crossover this year, and that continues with their new song from Netflix’s upcoming Roald Dahl adaptation The Twits. Read more here.
