So many artists, so many songs, so little time. THE DAMBUILDERS – “SHRINE 2026”
NYC indie rock vets The Dambuilders have released their first new music in decades. Technically it’s a new recording on their mid-’90s single “Shrine” which charts a romance across a language barrier. “I know she likes L7 and I think that she likes me.”

TORENA – “EXTINCTION”
Oxnard hardcore outfit Torena just started a West Coast tour and to pump everyone up they’ve dropped this riff-heavy new single.

MAXWELL FARRINGTON & LE SUPERHOMARD – “WINDOW TAX”
Do you like early solo Scott Walker? Then you’ll like the duo of Maxwell Farrington and Le Superhomard who continue that style of high drama orch pop. New album Window Tax is out April 24 and this is the title track.

GANG OF FOUR – “NO KINGS HERE!”
Gang of Four called it quits after their 2025 farewell tour, but are having trouble saying “that’s all.” In support of the No Kings protests, they wrote and recorded a new song “No Kings Here!,” with their 2025 lineup that included Belly’s Gail Greenwood on bass and Ted Leo on guitar. Of course the title of the song is a bit of a misnomer, as they’ve got a King in the band — frontman Jon King — but that’s not the kind of king they’re talking about.
