4 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

ANNA CALVI – “IS THIS ALL THERE IS?” (FT. MATT BERNINGER)

Anna Calvi’s new EP Is This All There Is? arrives this Friday, and she’s shared a final advance single, the title track, a soaring duet with Matt Berninger of The National. “This song is about the bravery it takes to hope,” Calvi says. “It’s the willingness to ask questions, even when knowing you’ll never get a definitive answer.” She adds, “The tone of Matt’s voice has such an epic, almost ancient quality to it, which felt perfect for a song asking such a big existential question. We’re both searching for answers- together and yet somehow always apart, which I find beautiful. He brings an intimacy to the song that I couldn’t have imagined.”

GLADIE – “I WANT THAT FOR YOU”

Gladie’s new album No Need To Be Lonely arrives this Friday, and they’ve given us a final early preview with “I Want That For You.” “‘I Want That For You’ is the last song we wrote for the record, and kind of encapsulates to me the whole message of No Need To Be Lonely,” Augusta Koch says. “It came from a conversation with a beloved friend that was having a hard time. We were talking about how it’s strange and difficult to be a human sometimes. I often think about how easy it is to see the beauty and wonderful qualities in someone else, but how hard it is to apply that same love to yourself. I Want That For You is basically about encouragement and wanting everyone to stick around, even when it’s really hard, including ourselves.”

LILY SEABIRD – “DEMON IN ME”

Burlington-based singer-songwriter Lily Seabird has shared her first new music of 2026. She says “Demon in Me” is on “the dark side, probably a symptom of anxiety or depression. The beginning of the song I talk about this longing for freedom. Whether it’s freedom from the demon or letting the demon be free, I’m not really sure, but by the end the music is supposed to embody that.”

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE – “RIPTIDES”

Death Cab for Cutie announced their first album for ANTI- and gave us a first taste with “Riptides,” which you can read more about here.
