So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
FACS – “PARALLEL LIVES”
Chicago’s FACS will be on tour in Australia with Chimers and to commemorate they’ve made a split 7″. “Parallel Lives” is heavier/weirder than FACS have been in a while.

BEDOUINE – “CANOPIES”
Bedouine’s new album Neon Summer Skin is out in June, and in honor of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, she’s shared “Canopies.” She says it was “Written about my mom’s experience growing up in an orphanage founded for survivors of the Armenian Genocide. All proceeds leading up to the album release go to aid displaced people of Southern Lebanon.”

BUTTHOLE SURFERS – “IMBUYA”
“It’s a truly meaningless song. Kinda our thing,” Butthole Surfers’ Paul Leary says of “Imbuya” from their “lost” album, After the Astronaut.

ZEDDY WILL & JANELLE MONAE – “PARTY AT THE BEACH”
“I wanted to make something that feels like outside — like that first real hot day where everybody’s out, energy up, music loud,” Zeddy Will says of his new single, which remixes Janelle Monae’s “Yoga.” “‘Yoga’ already had that feeling, so it’s an honor to have Janelle’s blessing! Flipping it and bringing it into my world just made sense.”

MARTIN CARR (EX BOO RADLEYS) – “WHAT FUTURE”
Martin Carr, onetime guitarist/songwriter for The Boo Radleys, will release new solo album What Future? next Friday (5/1). “I’ve been putting together these sounds for many years but this is the first time where I thought ‘this doesn’t really sound like anything else’ and decided to put it out,” Carr says. “All my lyrics over the past thirty-five years have been about the same thing ‘What’s Wrong With Me?’ but this time I decided to show, not tell.” This is the title track.

HUMAN ISSUE – “CLOCKS BOW. TREES FROWN.”
San Diego punks Human Issue release their new album In Flesh in June, and about new single “Clocks Bow. Trees Frown,” vocalist Hunter Martinez says, “This is about being vulnerable – being honest with myself and speaking loud about my anger, my fears, my insecurities, my feelings. Owning them and wearing these feelings on as a sense of pride instead of shame. Being happy with who I am today. Feeling OK in my own skin now as a grown adult. I spent a lot of time in my youth not feeling good in my own skin. The title of the song is a reference to a bad mushroom trip I had when I was 19. The clocks in my house were bending, bowing and looked as if they were falling off the wall. When I went outside, trees were frowning at me. It all felt dark.”

CROCODILES – “IN LOVE WITH A GHOST”
Noise-pop duo Crocodiles just released Greetings From Hell, their first album in three years, and this is one of the spiky confections from it.

PUPIL SLICER – “W.N.” (FT. TAYNE) & “GORDIAN” (PAUL VINSONHALER REMIX)
Following their great 2025 album Fleshwork, Pupil Slicer have shared “W.N.,” their new single with London industrial band Tayne, and a Paul Vinsonhaler remix of “Gordian.”

MC SERCH (3RD BASS) – “QUESTIONS”
3RD Bass’ MC Serch has announced new EP, Millions of Zereos, which is out May 15. It was produced by Apathy and features contributions from his bandmate Pete Nice, plus Ice Cube, Boldy James, and OT the Real. “Questions” has strong ’90s vibes.

SUKI WATERHOUSE – “TINY RAISIN”
Suki Waterhouse’s new album Loveland arrives on July 10 via Island, and the new single is “Tiny Raising,” which she says is “a love song at its core. It’s a song that stands by the fact that real love in its truest essence can be chaotic, ridiculous, and imperfect, while still being something that is absolutely worth choosing over and over again at the end of the day.”

CYPRESS HILL – “CAMPEONES” FT. MELLOW MAN ACE
Cypress Hill will release new album Dios Bendiga on July 24 via HYBE Latin America. The record is their first all-Spanish release, was produced by DJ Flict, and features collaborations with Mexico’s Alemán, Argentina’s Trueno, and on this single, Mellow Man Ace.

LATTO & GLORILLA – “GOMF”
Latto’s new album Big Mama is out on May 29, and new single “GOMF” re-teams her with GloRilla.

ACTION BRONSON – “TRICERATOPS” FT. LIL YACHTY & PAUL WALL
Here’s the first single from Action Bronson’s upcoming album Planet Frog. “Triceratops” was produced by Daringer and features features Lil Yachty and Paul Wall, while the video takes them all to a kiddie carnival.

ICONA POP – “DANCE TO THIS”
Icona Pop announced a new album, Ritual, due out August 14 via Ultra/Iconic Sound. They co-wrote the new single, “Dance to This,” and it was produced by Sebastian Furrer.

SWAMP DOGG – “SEARCHING FOR HEAVEN” & “ACID TONGUE”
Swamp Dogg’s 27th album, Swamp Dogg Contemplates The Afterlife, is out June 19 and here are two tracks from it. “Acid Tongue” was written by Jenny Lewis, while “Searching for Heaven” is a Swamp Dogg original.

JENA MALONE – “YOU’VE BEEN ON MY MIND”
Actress Jena Malone is releasing a new album, Flowers for Men, on May 8 via her own There Was An Old Woman Records. About new single “You’ve Been On My Mind,” she told Atwood Magazine, “This was a sweet crosswords song. It’s based on a poem I wrote when I was 23. I tried to turn this into a song with my band The Shoe, and it finally found its feet… And then I had a very open-heart experience with a man while I was working this album. I was in a blind limerence state and the chorus just came pouring out of me. The poem aligned itself in the verse, and it all came together so wonderfully.”

SARAH MCLACHLAN – “ALL THIS DISASTER”
“‘All This Disaster’ started as an acoustic guitar groove idea that had floated around for years until I absentmindedly played it for Tony Berg and Will Maclellan while recording for my new album,” Sarah McLachlan says of her new single. “I was working with and becoming familiar with Alex Greenwald’s music from Phantom Planet and thought – I love his writing; he’d be perfect on this. I sent the song to him, and he came up with some great simple lyrics and, from there, the song came together quickly. It feels like summer, driving, top down, leaving all your cares behind, if only for a while.”

ROSTAM – “BACK OF A TRUCK”
Rostam’s third album, American Stories, arrives next month, and he’s given us another preview with “Back of a Truck.” He co-wrote it with Tobias Jesso Jr., and he says it’s “about that feeling of being reminded of someone you used to know; hearing that song on the radio—or maybe it’s the smell of laundry that brings you back, then smiling to yourself and wishing them well, choosing to remember it in a way that lets go of the bad and holds on to the good. Musically I wanted to make a song that captures the feeling of driving through America with your windows down. Putting elements next to each other that I had not heard together before. Country Pedal steel next to Middle Eastern microtonal melodies. It feels like the America I know, and for that reason, it’s the centerpiece of the new record.”

LUCY DACUS – “PLANTING TOMATOES”
“This song really shows where my head is at throughout a day – always floating back to people I’ve lost and what I will certainly lose over time,” Lucy Dacus says. “But I try to pay attention and stay enchanted with this life. I never know why I’m writing a song when I start to, but I know they keep me alive. There always has to be an idea to walk towards, whether it’s small or grand, stupid or serious. This song is one of those ideas, and so is this lyric video I made at a seven-story stationery store in Tokyo while testing out the pens. I hope you like it, and I hope you have things that are keeping you curious.”
