So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
CARDI B & PARDISON FONTAINE – “TOOT IT UP”
Are we ever getting a new Cardi B album? Who knows, but in the meantime, she does stay active, including this new song with frequent collaborator Pardison Fontaine. It’s a fun, no-frills rap song that tips its hat to Nas’ “Made You Look” with both Cardi interpolating Nas’ hook and sample of “Apache,” which the Nas track also samples.

NASTY – “IRON GRIP” (ft. TERROR’S SCOTT VOGEL)
Belgian/German metallic hardcore band Nasty have announced a new EP, Black My Heart, due March 14 via Triple B Records (pre-order), and the EP’s new single “Iron Grip” features Terror’s Scott Vogel.

AVA MAX – “LOST YOUR FAITH”
Ava Max is a pop singer with an increasingly-long string of ridiculously catchy singles, and she just released a new one that’s said to kick off her next era. Maybe that means we’ll learn more about a followup to 2023’s Diamonds & Dancefloors soon.

DJ KOZE – “BRUSHCUTTER” FT. MARLEY WATERS
Here’s the latest glitchy banger from DJ Koze’s upcoming album Music Can Hear Us. The video, directed by Stefan Kozalla, is very vibey.

STEREOPHONICS – “THERE’S ALWAYS GONNA BE SOMETHING”
Welsh rock vets Stereophonics will release their 13th album, Make ’em Laugh, Make ’em Cry, Make ’em Wait, on April 25. Here’s the latest anthemic single.

TRUPA TRUPA – “MOURNERS”
“Mourners” is not your typical Trupa Trupa song. Led by a funky(ish) guitar riff, the song feels like and breezy…at least till the “LET MOURNERS GO!” shouting starts. This is the title track to their upcoming EP.

DORA JAR – “LUCKY”
Ahead of her tour supporting Gracie Abrams, Dora Jar shared a new single, “Lucky,” a melancholy ballad which is also her first new music since her 2024 debut No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire.

MOBY – “SHOULD SLEEP” (DJ TENNIS REMIX)
“As a lifelong fan of Moby’s work, this remix is very special to me,” says DJ Tennis of his rework of Moby’s “should sleep.” “When he asked me to bring my own vision of ‘should sleep’ to life and release them together, I immediately began developing two separate yet complementary ideas – the dynamics and depth of both records reflect our shared love of nuanced instrumentation, powerful melodies, and layered production. LOTTI GOLDEN – “DANCE TO THE RHYTHM OF LOVE”
Lotti Golden’s 1969 cult classic Motor-Cycle is getting a new reissue on March 28. It includes a number of previously unreleased tracks, including this Brill Building demo of “Dance To The Rhythm Of Love.”

COURTNEY BARNETT – “LOTTA LOVE” / CHRIS PIERCE – “SOUTHERN MAN” (NEIL YOUNG COVERS)

DJ PREMIER & ROC MARCIANO – “ARMANI SECTION”
The boom bap movement of the ’90s wouldn’t have happened the way it did without DJ Premier, and the boom bap resurgence of the 2010s/’20s wouldn’t have happened the way it did without Roc Marciano. Now, those two hip hop visionaries have teamed up for a collaborative EP, due later this year (title and release date TBA). KEN POMEROY – “STRANGER”
Ken Pomeroy, a rising Oklahoma singer/songwriter of Native Cherokee heritage, has announced a new album, Cruel Joke, due 5/16 via Rounder Records. It features a previously-released song with John Moreland, as well as this new single. Read more here.

MARUJA – “AON”
Rising UK art punks Maruja announced a new four-song, 25-minute EP that the band says was recorded live in studio and fully improvised. The first taste is the seven-minute opening track “Aon,” a blown-out, wordless spiritual jazz odyssey that finds the band’s punk side only present in spirit. Read more here.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL – “HONESTLY?” (LIVE IN LA)
American Football have released a Bandcamp-only live album ft. Ethel Cain and M.A.G.S. to help raise money for wildfire relief. Read more about it here and download it at Bandcamp. One track, “Honestly?,” is streaming for free.
