So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
POWER SNATCH & TIBERIUS B – “TRAINING” & “GREAT”
Hayley Williams’ newish project Power Snatch (with collaborator Daniel James) is back with two new songs with London artist Tiberius B. “Training” is an electro banger while “Great” is more of a lullabye.

WET LEG – “CPR” (HORSEGIIRL REMIX)
Wet Leg and horsegiirL are playing more than a few of the same festivals this year and now comes this remix of “CPR” that smashes two stages together.

KNEECAP – “COLD AT THE TOP” (SHANTI CELESTE REMIX)
Shanti Celeste’s remix of Kneecap’s “Cold at the Top” (from this year’s great FENIAN) lightens the mood and removes nearly all the vocals for this decidedly housey spin.

DENT MAY – “I REMEMBER…”
“This song was inspired by Fellini’s Amarcord and Joe Brainard’s I Remember,” says Dent May. “I was thinking about nostalgia, not in the saccharine way that people usually mean, but in its original sense as a type of pain or sickness. The song is a stream-of-consciousness recollection of all the bittersweet moments from a relationship that didn’t work out, the good and the bad. I wrote it with my friend Samuel Joseph, who I met at a local bar.” Dent’s new album The Big One is out August 14.

GIRL AND GIRL – “IT’S DEAD” & “HELL”
Australian indie rockers Girl and Girl have released a new two-track single via Sub Pop. The band’s Kai Aubort says this about the video/single for “It’s Dead”: “We’re always hinting at death in our music, talking about it in such roundabout ways, so I thought it was about time I just came out and said it … IT’S DEAD!!!!”

BODYWASH – “COME AND GO”
Montreal duo Bodywash are back with this new lovely new single powered by a hazy jangle. “I wrote ‘Come and Go’ mostly in one go at home, improvising on vocal and bass,” says Rosie Long Decter, and then I brought it to Chris [Steward], playing it for him on guitar in the studio,” Rosie explains. “Normally I write on keys and make a demo, and he helps flesh it out, or vice versa. But after our last album we wanted to try writing more in the room together. As we played through the song together, and Chris wrote the riff, it came together really quickly in a shared burst of energy that’s only really possible in-person.”

DECIUS – DECIUS TRAX EP VII
London’s DECIUS — the acid house project featuring members of Fat White Family and Warmduscher — are back with the latest EP in their DECIUS TRAX series. They call it “3 NOVUS slices of PURE dance floor AURUM, primed & READY.”

SMIRK – “GOING OFF TO DIE”
Here’s another single from Nick Vicario’s mutant punk alter ego Smirk’s upcoming album Speculative Fiction. “‘Going Off to Die’ is about leaving Los Angeles in a sort of quiet defeat,” says Vicario. “It comes from a place of shame and deals with reckoning with who I was and accepting that leaving was the only way forward.”

ROLLING STONES – “DIVINE INTERVENTION” FT ROBERT SMITH & “JEALOUS LOVER”
Rolling Stones have released two new songs from their upcoming album Foreign Tongues and “Divine Intervention” is one of two songs on the LP to feature The Cure’s Robert Smith on guitar.

JOY DIVISION – “TRANSMISSION (LIVE LES BAINS DOUCHES, PARIS 18TH DECEMBER, 1979)”
Just a taste of the 16-disc Joy Division Eternal: Live box set that’s due in September.

BLONDSHELL – “VIOLINS”
It’s the title track from Blondshell’s new album.

SUGAR – “KEEP LOOPING”
When we talked to Bob Mould earlier this year he told us Sugar had no plans for new music beyond the “House of Dead Memories” / “Long Live Love” single, but here with are with another new one.

SMIDLEY – “CAPSTONE” FT LUCY DACUS
With his band Foxing on indefinite hiatus, Conor Murphy has announced a new album as Smidley. Murphy Horse, his third album under the moniker and this first single features Lucy Dacus.
