So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
ANDY BELL – “DANCE FOR MERCY” (VINCE CLARKE REMIX)
Erasure’s Andy Bell has shared this remix of his song “Dance for Mercy” by his longtime bandmate Vince Clarke. It’s just a little more Erasure than it was before.

TUNE-YARDS – TELL THE FUTURE WITH YOUR BODY
Tune-Yards released Tell The Future With Your Body, a companion EP to their 2025 album Better Dreaming. “‘I breathed on the people and the people started losing their minds.’ These songs came rolling off of our fingers and tongues right after Better Dreaming,” Merrill Garbus says. “With them, we match the overconfidence of backwards tyrannical overlords with the confidence of mid-career artists in the zone. May we release our cultural fear and grief with a breath of fire!”

BE YOUR OWN PET- “WHAT A BITCH”
Nashville’s Be Your Own Pet are back with a new single. “’What A B*tch’ is an anthem for anyone who has ever been labeled too much, too loud, too brash, just because they dare to be themselves,” says the band’s Jemina Pearl Abegg. “My daughter got called a ‘bitch’ by a classmate for the first time this year and was devastated by it. I told her every woman I love and respect has been called that and worse just for existing, so reclaim it and wear it as a badge of honor. That inspired me to take all the insults I’ve received over the years and turn them into a source of power instead. This song is my rally cry for all the so-called ‘bitches.’ I love us!” The video for “What a Bitch” was directed by Snooper’s Blair Tramel.

CLAIRE ROUSAY – “SOMEWHAT BURDENSOME”
claire rousay’s new album little death arrives on Halloween, and the latest single is “somewhat burdensome.” She says the song’s “construction took place over 15 months. what started as an improvised guitar recording made in a basement studio was soon growing as field recordings from my home kitchen & garage, piano recorded in my friend Walt’s studio, and homemade electronics were added. This piece feels simultaneously playful and deeply reflective.”

WOODS – “GOODNIGHT” & “IT AIN’T EASY” (FULL BAND VERSION)
Woods begin their Northeast tour this Friday in Kingston, NY and to celebrate they’ve released this new two-song single. “Goodnight” was originally recorded for 2014’s With Light but has been significantly reworked, while “It Ain’t Easy” is a live-in-studio, full band version performed of the origina version that was on 2012’s Bend Beyond.

THEY ARE GUTTING A BODY OF WATER – “RL STINE”
They Are Gutting a Body of Water’s anticipated new album LOTTO is out next month, and they’ve given us another preview with “rl stine.” “There is a guy who I see every day near my house,” the band’s Doug Dulgarian says. “I always buy him a pack of Newport hundreds, knowing full well that he will trade it for crack. I wonder sometimes if it’s the addict in me, enabling the addict in him, or if I just fully understand his struggle. Perhaps we’re the same after all.”

KULA SHAKER – “GOOD MONEY”
UK psych-rock vets Kula Shaker have announced new album Wormslayer which will be out January 30. First single “Good Money” is a very Kula Shaker-esque groover.

JULIANNA BARWICK & MARY LATTIMORE – PERPETUAL ADORATION
Longtime friends and collaborators Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore have made a new single together which was created for Philharmonie de Paris and made with the Musée de la Musique’s deep collection of rare instruments.

ANASTASIA COOPE – “OREGON”
Anastasia Coope’s new EP DOT is out on Halloween, and she’s shared the second single, “Oregon.”

KATIE ALICE GREER – “TALK TO LESLIE”
Former Priests frontperson Katie Alice Greer is back with her first new music in two years. “Talk to Leslie” is poppier than what you may normally expect from KAG.

SLEAFORD MODS – “MEGATON”
It’s the first new Sleaford Mods single in two years.

PUBLIC OPINION – “FINALE RACK”
Public Opinion’s new EP Perpetual Motion Machine arrives this Friday, and ahead of its release they’ve shared a final advance single, “Finale Rack.”

CARDINALS – “MASQUERADE”
It’s the title track from the Irish band’s upcoming debut album.

THE MOCK-UPS – “I WANNA KNOW YOUR NAME”
