So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
BUÑUEL (ex-OXBOW) – “CLASS”
Former Oxbow leader Eugene S. Robinson has shared another rager off the upcoming album by his band Buñuel.

(A$AP) FERG – “ALLURE” (ft. FUTURE, prod. MIKE WILL MADE-IT)
Ferg (who dropped the A$AP from his name) has a new project on the way called Darold, and while we await concrete details, he’s shared a hard-hitting new single, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and featuring Future.

MAT KEREKES – “FIGURE EIGHTS”
Citizen’s Mat Kerekes has shared another song off his recently-announced solo album To Dream of Something Wicked, and it’s a great song that finds him in relaxed indie folk mode.

WILL HAVEN – “KIRE”
Sacramento metallic post-hardcore vets Will Haven have shared a new song from their upcoming 30th anniversary compilation No Stars To Guide Me: 30 Years Of WHVN, due December 6 via Minus Head Records. It’s a heavy one, and guitarist Jeff Irwin says, “This song acts as a good bridge between the new and old material. Even as an original member of the band, I have no idea how our sound will continue to evolve from here on out, and I am excited about that.”

HINDS – “BATS”
Following the release of their new album Viva Hinds last month, Hinds have shared a bonus track, “Bats,” which they say they wrote “the week after watching ANOTHER ROUND (DRUK) in the movies. We couldn’t stop thinking about it, especially the last scene where Mad Mikkelsen starts dancing frenetically until he jumps fully dressed to the water. ‘BATS’ is accepting everything is blurry and confusing. In Spanish and in English. It’s a dance with your darkest thoughts. A dance with your ugliest demons.”

STUCK LUCKY – “MONSTERPIGEATSJESUS”
Nashville ska-core band Stuck Lucky have shared a new ripper from their upcoming album Counting Curses, and the video seems to poke fun at the ska/mozzarella sticks meme.

STILL ALIVE – “MAKE MELODIES”
Stuck Lucky’s ska-core pals Still Alive are saying goodbye (and one of their final shows is in Nashville with Stuck Lucky), and they’ve put out one last single, an especially heavy one called “Make Melodies.”

ANTHONY RANERI – “HIGH ROAD”
Bayside’s Anthony Raneri has shared “High Road,” a countryish power ballad off his upcoming solo EP Everyday Royalty.

BENNY THE BUTCHER & 38 SPESH – “JESUS ARMS” (ft. BUSTA RHYMES) & “BRICK SPECIALS”
Benny the Butcher and 38 Spesh have announced Stabbed & Shot 2, a sequel to their collaborative 2018 project, due October 18 via TCF/Black Soprano Family. Two songs are out now, including one with Busta Rhymes, and both find Benny and Spesh doing what they do best: keeping the dark, gritty side of boom bap alive.

COMMON WOUNDS – “ALL NIGHT BLOOD”
Phoenix post-hardcore band Common Wounds’ new LP All Night Blood arrives October 18 via Protagonist Music, and they’ve just shared the sludgy title track.

ERICK THE ARCHITECT – “BEVERLY DRIVE”
Erick the Architect of Flatbush Zombies will release a deluxe edition of his album I’ve Never Been Here Before on November 15, and one of the new songs is the just-released “Beverly Drive.” He says, “Beverly Road is the specific neighborhood I was raised in, Beverly Drive is also located in California (where I live now), and I started writing this song in Beverly Drive, Jamaica. I was always faced with balancing survival with my instinctual knowledge, always observing my surroundings and making the right decisions to escape from danger. Through this track, I hope to take listeners back to my hood and shine a light on the city I love so much.”

PINHEAD GUNPOWDER – “SHINE”
Green Day offshoot Pinhead Gunpowder have shared another super catchy ripper from their upcoming comeback album Unt, and you can read about it here.

BODEGA — “MYRTLE PARADE” + “CULTURAL CONSUMER IV”
Bodega have shared two more songs from the upcoming deluxe edition of Brand on the Run. “‘Myrtle Parade’ was a song I originally wrote for an earlier version of ‘Endless Scroll’ but it was far too sunny and breezy to fit with the minimalism of that album,” says Ben Hozie. “It’s a song set in a smoky DIY warehouse venue (Brookyln’s defunct and much missed Aviv) about feeling out of place and going through the motions at a show where the atmosphere is cramped and the social anxiety is high. The verse lyrics feature impressionistic snippets of overheard conversation at the venue where I imagined gossip about Myrtle, a fictional scenester emblematic of the BK rock world I associate with the Myrtle-Wyckoff and Myrtle-Broadway subway stops.”

TEARS FOR FEARS – “ASTRONAUT”
“‘Astronaut’ started out during the sessions for The Tipping Point,” says Tears for Fears’ Curt Smith of the title track to the band’s new album. “Once we realized that we were going to end up doing more than just one new track for this album, Roland sent me the original recording of ‘Astronaut’ and I had forgotten how good of a song it was as it gives you a sense of release. It’s a horrible comparison but it’s the sorbet in between courses where you just can have a little breath and just float away. Forgive the pun but that’s the feeling the song has.”
