So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

KEHLANI – “FOLDED”
Kehlani’s new single was produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes, Andre Harris, Donovan Knight, and Don Mills. “It’s a double entendre babes,” she writes in an Instagrm story. “Real duality over here!! Come get ur clothes I folded them because I care enough to do so… it’s cold between us but it’s not dead.. it’s not frozen.. and fold me while u here so we can see if it’s really over.”

THE SICK MAN OF EUROPE – “PROFANE NOT PROFOUND”
“In a place of non-linear time, the human consciousness expects daily progression, but we often find ourselves repeating the same thoughts and actions” says The Sick Man of Europe of the latest single from his upcoming self-titled debut. “Through a rejection of societal demands and a reconnection with natural beauty, can we break the cyclical nature of our endeavours?” If you dig danceable post-punk, give this a spin.

OTHER LIVES – “MYSTIC”
Other Lives are back with their fifth album and first since 2020’s For Their Love. Volume V is due out on OCtober 10 via Play It Again Sam, and the first single is the sweeping, orchestral “Mystic.”

WHITNEY K – “HEAVEN”
Canadian singer-songwriter Konner Whitney has announced his latest Whitney K album, Bubble, on September 12 via Fire, and here’s the first single. Konner says, “I remember friends that were a bit older than me seeing me struggle when I was in my earlier twenties. They would tell me it gets better. If I hold on I’ll make it to the other side. It’s a spiritual song not a religious one.“

HANNAH JADAGU – “MY LOVE”
Hannah Jadagu has shared her first new music of the year. She says “My Love” is “about the feelings that can arise when you’re apart from someone you love (longing, excitement, gratitude). It’s simply a love song that makes a plea for being with that person.””

HOLLIE COOK – “NIGHT NIGHT” FT HORSEMAN
If you’re a fan of Hollie Cook’s first two albums (but maybe not as much her last two) you might be excited to learn that she is back on label Mr Bongo and new single “Night Night” is a return to the airy, horn-free lovers rock sound of Once and Twice. Also this single marks the return of toaster Horseman who adds a lot here.

M.I.A. – “SAFE”
M.I.A. teased her new single during a recent DJ set. “M.I.A blurs the line between IRL and URL,” she says. “M.I.A blurs the line between pro-technology and anti-technology – identity crisis – Am I for it or against it? What… Can you serve God and serve at the same time? Two things can be true.”

GARY NUMAN – “INTRUDER (LIVE AT OVO ARENA WEMBLEY, 2022)”
Synthpop pioneer Gary Numan will release A Perfect Circle: Live at OVO Arena Wembley on July 25. Get a taste with this version of “Instruder.”

THE DIRTY NIL – “ROCK N’ ROLL BAND”
Canadian punks The Dirty Nil delivery another gritty, catchy dose of The Lash.

CRAZY & THE BRAINS – “FANTASY” (prod. TIM ARMSTRONG)
NJ punks Crazy & the Brains are working on a new album with Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, who’s producing it and releasing it on his Epitaph imprint Hellcat, and lead single “Fantasy” is the kind of rousing punk anthem that should definitely appeal to Tim Armstrong fans.

ORANGE 9MM – “TURN IT UP”
NYC post-hardcore pioneers Orange 9mm have released their first new song in 26 years, “Turn It Up,” and you can read more about it here.

THE BARR BROTHERS – “LET IT HISS”
Montreal’s The Barr Brothers have announced Let it Hiss, their first album in eight years, which will be out October 17 via Secret City Records. Brad and Andrew Barr produced it themselves in their hometown studio and it features contributions from My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James, Land of Talk‘s Elizabeth Powell, Patrick Watson and Klô Pelgag. MANTRA OF THE COSMOS FT NOEL GALLAGHER – “DOMINO BONES (GET DANGEROUS)”
Mantra of the Cosmos, aka the UK indie supergroup of Andy Bell (Ride / Oasis), Shaun Ryder & Bez (Happy Mondays, Black Grape), and Zak Starkey, are still working on their debut album but have just shared a new single, “Domino Bones (Get Dangerous),” which features vocals from Noel Gallagher.
