So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Iceage frontman Elias Rønnenfelt releases solo album Heavy Glory on Friday and here’s one last early taste.

GUY GERBER & DESIRE “IN A MANNER OF SPEAKING” (TUXEDOMOON COVER)
“I’ve been dying to share something really close to my heart — my cover of Tuxedomoon’s ‘In A Manner Of Speaking’ that I worked on with my dear friend, Guy Gerber,” says Desire of her new collab with DJ and producer Guy Gerber. “This song has always held a special place in my heart, and creating this version together was such a beautiful, emotional journey. We performed it in Paris, Ibiza, and London over the summer, and every time it felt like the music wrapped the room in something magical.”

OLIVIA O. – “HURT ME”
Lowertown’s Olivia O, who is currently on tour with Drop Nineteens, will release her sophomore solo album, No Bones, Sickly Sweet, on November 1. Hear the simmering “Hurt Me” now.

GRUMPY – “HOLDING”
Heaven Schmitt’s new EP as Grumpy, Wolfed, is out this Friday, and they’ve shared a final advance single from it, the noisy, propulsive “Holding.” “I had never seen her cry before,” Heaven says. “It was so rare that I ever knew exactly what she was feeling. But that day I saw her pain more than I ever had. I watched her cry, over facetime, for a moment then she said she wanted to hang up. Things would’ve had to be pretty bad for her to reach out and let me see her that vulnerable. We don’t communicate much with words. I knew there wasn’t anything I could say to console her. I would’ve given anything to be able to hold her. When she hung up I wrote this song in about 15 minutes, wishing words were what she wanted, because they were all I could offer from so far away.”

CHE NOIR – “BLACK GIRL” (ft. RAPSODY)
Buffalo rapper Che Noir’s new project The Lotus Child arrives this Friday (10/25), and she teams up with fellow boom bap devotee Rapsody on its hard-hitting new single “Black Girl.”

PAPA M – “PEOPLE’S FREE FOOD PROGRAM”
David Pajo (of Slint, the current Gang of Four lineup, and more) has shared the second single from the upcoming Papa M album Ballads of Harry Houdini, and this one’s an instrumental psych-funk jam.

REBECCA BLACK – “TRUST!”
“It felt only right to kick off the next project with the loudest and brashest track I’ve put out yet, and ‘TRUST!’ embodies the essence of the fearlessness in this project better than anything.” Rebecca Black says of ner new single. It follows her recent Boiler Room debut and set at Portola Music Festival.

SQUINT – “CRAWL BACK”
Hardcore-informed alt-rockers Squint’s debut LP Big Hand comes out this Friday (10/25), and here’s another gritty anthemic single, “Crawl Back.”

WICCA PHASE SPRINGS ETERNAL – “MY NAME IS THE ENDLESS NIGHT”
Wicca Phase has shared a grainy synthpop/trap song from his upcoming EP Midnight at the Castle Moorlands.

SEE THROUGH PERSON – “GIRL TALK”
Florida emo band See Through Person’s debut full-length album Every Way of Living arrives this Friday, and new single “Girl Talk” finds them in raw, shouty, noodly, “emo revival revival” mode.

TYLER, THE CREATOR – “NOID”
Tyler, the Creator’s anticipated new album CHROMAKOPIA comes out next week and here’s its first proper single, “NOID.” Read more here.

AMYL AND THE SNIFFERS – “JERKIN”
Amyl and The Sniffers‘ anticipated new album Cartoon Darkness is out this Friday, and as one final teaser, they’ve shared the video for new single “Jerkin’.” The song itself has singer Amy Taylor spewing a stream of invectives while trying to stay positive against those aiming to bring her down: “Don’t wanna be stuck inside that negativity / Keep jerkin’ on your squirter / You will never get with me.”

DARKSIDE – “GRAUCHA MAX”
Darkside are back with a new single and news of their first major US tour in over a decade. “Graucha Max” is the first taste from new recording sessions and finds them in grimy territory with a teutonic groove that recalls both Can and ’80s Tom Waits.

THE TUBS – “FREAK MODE”
The Tubs, the band led by former Joanna Gruesome member Owen ‘O’ Williams, will release their second full length, ‘Cotton Crown,’ on March 7. This is the jangly first single.

LA SÉCURITÉ – “DETOUR”
Montreal’s La Sécurité have signed to Bella Union and have just dropped their first single for the label, which is a joint release with the band’s hometown label, Mothland. “Detour” is an art-punk nu-wave banger that picks up where last year’s debut left off and runs with it.
