So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
SZA – “SAVE THE DAY”
SZA has shared “Save The Day,” an uplifting, soulful new song from the soundtrack to the upcoming Disney-Pixar film Hoppers.

KILLER MIKE – “SPYING EYES (SMILING FACES)” (ft. LENA BYRD MILES)
Killer Mike has shared a new song from the soundtrack for Amazon Prime’s The Gray House, and it finds the Run The Jewels member pairing his bars with gospel singer Lena Byrd Miles’ interpolation of the Undisputed Truth/Temptations classic “Smiling Faces Sometimes.”

GLIXEN – “UNWIND”
Glixen follow their 2025 EP quiet pleasures with a new single, “Unwind.” “‘Unwind’ is about that feeling of relief when someone comes back to you after they’ve left,” Aislinn Ritchie says. “It’s human nature to crave that push and pull—a drug weaned off. Blindingly hard to say no, we succumb to willful ignorance. We recorded this song in Los Angeles with Sonny Diperri producing, and it’s the first song we incorporated different instrumental elements, and it’s a glimpse into our evolution.”

JESSIE WARE – “RIDE”
“Ride was the first song I wrote for this record,” Jessie Ware says of this new single from her upcoming Superbloom. “I made it in 2024 with my best friend Jack Peñate and Karma Kid, who feature throughout the album. It’s a song for the clubs, for the dancefloor – fun, cinematic, cheeky and powerful. I first performed it at NYC Downlow at Glastonbury after headlining West Holts, and I’ve been waiting two years to finally put it out. I know others have been waiting too… So here it is. You’re welcome.”

MAKTHAVERSKAN – “BLACK WATERS”
Makthaverskan’s anticipated new album is out in April, and they’ve given us another preview with “Black Waters,” which they say is “A deeply personal song.”

THE DANDY WARHOLS – “LOVE SONG” (THE DAMNED COVER)
The Dandy Warhols upcoming cover album PIN UPS includes this take on The Damned’s punk classic that they rework into a gothy electro number that would’ve fit right into 2005. Says Courtney Taylor Taylor: “The Damned album Machine Gun Etiquette sits in my all-time top ten. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to choose a favorite song off it, but ‘Love Song’ is definitely right up there with ‘Melody Lee’ and ‘Anti-Pope.’ It is a great pleasure to sing any of them as I get to use my voice like a whip in slow motion.”

DOUG GILLARD (GUIDED BY VOICES, NADA SURF) – “FACES OF SMILES”
Doug Gillard, who currently plays in Guided by Voices and Nada Surf, has just announced new solo album Parallel Stride which will be out April 24 via Dromedary Records and he’s just shared the first single and video which features comedian/shredder Dave Hill. “The video captures a typical day wherein I commute across NYC for a recording with engineer Tom Beaujour where I’m joined by Dave Hill on bass and Ray Kubian on drums. Tom also presents me with a ‘Dan Smith Will Teach You Guitar’ flyer in his studio, which for some reason I never saw when I recorded a lot of this album there The flyer is a long-running NYC legend, having been posted around the city for over 20 years.”

ELI MOORE (LAKE) – “THE POWER LINE”
Eli Moore of Pacific Northwest band LAKE has announced his debut solo album, The Power Line, which will be out May 1 via Everything Bagel. If you like the gentle sound of LAKE, the title track to his album is very much in that mold.

BRUISER WOLF – “WHY THEY PLAY ME?” (ft. BABYTRON)
After releasing two of our top 10 rap albums of last year, Bruiser Wolf has already announced another. Push & Paint arrives March 13 via Fake Shore Drive/Sheefy LLC/Bruiser House, and it features Sada Baby, Payroll Giovanni, Akeem Aii, P-Lo, G.T., and BabyTron, the last of whom is on new single “Why They Play Me?.” Those two make a delightfully strange pair.

YEBBA – “YELLOW EYES”
Indie-soul singer Yebba has announced her sophomore album, Jean, due March 6, along with the release of this new single.

AT THE GATES – “THE FEVER MASK”
At The Gates have announced their final album with their late vocalist Tomas Lindberg, The Ghost Of A Future Dead, and the first taste is opening track “The Fever Mask.” Read more about it here and pick up our limited, exclusive vinyl variant.

GRACE IVES – “STUPID BITCHES”
Grace Ives announced a new album, Girlfriend, and gave us the fourth early taste with “Stupid Bitches,” which you can read more about here.

BABY KEEM – “GOOD FLIRTS” (ft. KENDRICK LAMAR & MOMO BOYD)
Baby Keem’s new album Ca$ino is out today, and it includes a show-stealing guest verse from his cousin Kendrick Lamar on “Good Flirts.” Read our first-listen album review here.

SPENCER KRUG – “I’LL BELIEVE IN ANYTHING (SOLO PIANO VERSION)”
Spencer Krug debuted this new solo piano take on Wolf Parade’s Apologies to the Queen Mary track “I’ll Believe in Anything” in Vancouver last month, and now he’s shared the studio version.
