13 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

EARTHEATER & SHYGIRL – “SHARK BRAIN” & “DOLPHIN”

Fellow pop weirdos Eartheater and Shygirl team up for two new songs that give you exactly what you’d hope for from these two.

LITTLE SIMZ – “FREE”

Little Simz shared another track off her new album Lotus. “Free” was produced by Miles Clinton James.

LORD HURON – “NOTHING I NEED”

Lord Huron have shared their second new single of 2025, a gently-rollicking folk rock song called “Nothing I Need.”

KALI UCHIS – “SUNSHINE & RAIN”

Kali Uchis will release her next album Sincerely, on May 9 and she previews it with the breezy, kaleidoscopic pop of “Sunshine & Rain.”

YG – “2004”

YG shares a personal, powerful new song that finds up opening up about being sexually abused at 14 by a 30-year-old woman. The video stars actress Tasha Smith as YG’s therapist, and the song introduces YG’s upcoming album The Gentlemen’s Club.

THE RAVEONETTES – “KILLER”

The Raveonettes’ new album Pe’ahi II is out next month, and they’ve shared another track from it, the swirling and reverb-filled “Killer.”

KITE – “HEARTLESS PLACES” (ft. NINA PERSSON)

Swedish synthpop duo KITE tap The Cardigans’ Nina Persson for a new single.

BUNRA BOY – “4 KAMPE II” (ft. JOÉ DWÈT FILÉ)

Afrobeats star is set to release a new album called No Signs of Weakness this summer, and he prefaces it with this new song.

BAYSIDE – “DEVOTION AND DESIRE” (2025)

Bayside’s self-titled album turns 20 this year, and singer Anthony Raneri just looked back on it on the BrooklynVegan podcast. And now, right before Bayside begin their career-spanning 25th anniversary tour, the band released a newly-recorded version of self-titled’s breakthrough single “Devotion and Desire.”

FEID – “DALLAX” (ft. TY DOLLA $IGN)

Reggaeton great Feid taps hip hop crooner Ty Dolla $ign for a new ballad.

RINGO STARR – “WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS” FT. JACK WHITE, SHERYL CROW, BILLY STRINGS, EMMYLOU HARRIS, RODNEY CROWELL, MORE

The version of “With a Little Help From my Friends” that Ringo Starr did at The Ryman in January, that also featured Mickey Guyton, Sarah Jarosz, Jamey Johnson, Brenda Lee, Larkin Poe, and Molly Tuttle, has now been officially released to benefit the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity ReBUILDLA’s work to help those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.

URSULA – “SHAN’T”

Apple Valley, California hardcore band Ursula’s debut LP arrives next week and here’s a new single from it. Read more here.

ST. VINCENT – “DOA”

St. Vincent’s new single is from Alex Scharfman’s new A24 film Death of a Unicorn, and you can read more about it here.
