So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
MOUNTAIN TIME – “MEET THE KID” & DREAM HOMES SAMPLER
Chris Simpson of Mineral and The Gloria Record has surprise-released a new solo album under his Mountain Time moniker, Dream Homes. It’s out now via Spartan Records, but you have to purchase it to hear the whole thing. One single is streaming now, the ’70s folk rock-ish “Meet the Kid,” along with a teaser video that features clips of all the other songs.

2ND GRADE – “MADE UP MY OWN MIND,” “OUT OF THE HIVE,” & “AIRLIFT”
Philly power-pop band 2nd Grade have announced new album Scheduled Explosions which is scheduled to explode on 10/25 via Double Double Whammy. There are 23 songs on the album which is why it’s not so crazy they released three songs from it today.

RUN INTO THE SUN – “VICTORY” (ft. NIC KARTCHNER) & “LIGHT”
Salt Lake City melodic hardcore band Run Into The Sun have dropped another two-pack, “Victory” (which features the single’s engineer, Nic Kartchner) and “Light.”

KILL LINCOLN – “LITTLE GHOSTS”
Kill Lincoln have shared a new song from their upcoming album No Normal, and this one finds the ska-punk band showing off a heavier side and working in shreddy riffs that sound like early Thrice. Read our interview with the band about this album for more.

NEON NIGHTMARE – “SHE’S DROWNING”
20 Buck Spin-signed “mysterious” Type O Negative worship act Neon Nightmare has announced its debut album, Faded Dream, along with second single “She’s Drowning.” Read more here.
