So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
16 UNDERGROUND – “CHASING A COMFORT”
16 Underground are named after a song by Sneaker Pimps and the Southern California band unabashedly revive the ’90s trip-hop that their namesake is best known for. Their debut EP Drifting Deeper comes out August 9 via Strange View Records (home to releases by Cold Mega, 9Million, Robber Robber, and more), and they’ve just shared its moody new single “Chasing A Comfort.”

BÔA – “WHIPLASH”
’90s alt-rock vets Bôa have been in the midst of a resurgence, and now they’ve shared the title track of their first album in over 20 years, Whiplash, and revealed more details. (It comes out October 18 via Nettwerk.) Singer Jasmine Rodgers says, “The song ‘Whiplash’ could be about break ups, but could also be the crazy ride Lee, Al, and I have been on through bôa.”

PARTY DOZEN – “MONEY & THE DRUGS”
“The first section of this song is inspired by a sound that we heard at the airport pick up zone in Sydney’ says Party Dozen’s Jonathan Boulet. “A small aircraft coming in to land low would project this low bending rumble into the cement car park filling it with resonant frequencies. Sounds like A HIT. ‘Money & the Drugs’ features Kirsty really letting it out into her saxophone void. Then it picks up a coupla gears into a rockin’ frenzy. It’s one of our most fun songs to play live. But sometimes too much of a good thing can land you in deep water. Sometimes this song gets away from us.” Party Dozen’s new album Crime in Australia is out September 6. Check out the song in studio and live forms:

ALLEGRA KRIEGER – “INTO ETERNITY”
Allegra Krieger’s anticipated new album, Art of the Unseen Infinity Machine, is out in September, and she’s shared the second single, “Into Eternity.” “This song is an observation of menial and major moments, and how they all fit together in a chaotic world; every individual has their own path, their own story, though we all move through it together under the same sky,” she says. “For better or for worse. It’s about looking for brightness where there is darkness.”

DEAN SPUNT (NO AGE) – “GONZO BOP”
No Age’s Dean Spunt will release new solo album Basic Editions on September 27 via Drag City. The opening track is “Gonzo Bop,” a mostly ambient song that threatens to be overtaken by drum-n-bass-loving neighbors.

SEX WEEK – “KID MUSCLE”
Sex Week (Pearl Amanda Dickson and Richard Orofino) are releasing their self-titled debut EP in August via Grand Jury, and they’ve given us another early taste with the hazy “Kid Muscle.”

CLOSE TO MONDAY – “FLIGHT”
Synthpop duo Close to Monday mix darkwave and techno as you can hear on their sleek new single “Flight.”

YASMIN WILLIAMS – “VIRGA”
Yasmin Williams has announced a new album, Acadia, and she released new single “Virga.” Read more about it here.

TUNE-YARDS – “WATER FROM YOUR FOUNTAIN” (WATER FROM YOUR EYES REMIX)
Tune-Yards are reissuing their third album, Nikki Nack, for its 10th anniversary, with four new tracks, and they’ve shared the first of those, Water From Your Eyes’ remix of “Water From Your Fountain.”
