Nick Cave has been answering fan questions for years now on his The Red Hand Files site, and throughout that time he’s revealed his favorite books, and some of his favorite music, including his top ten love songs and ten songs that stand out to him the most. Now he’s moved on to films, answering a series of fan questions in his latest entry. In it, he says his favorite movie is 1971’s Wake in Fright, his favorite movie from his childhood is 1939’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and his favorite documentary is 1985’s Shoah.
Nick also reveals a movie that makes him laugh (1995’s Living in Oblivion), a movie that makes him cry (1942’s Bambi), a movie he can recite by heart (1983’s Scarface), a movie that he has an irrational hatred for (1964’s Dr. Strangelove), a movie he’s embarrassed to admit he enjoys (2003’s Love Actually), and his wife Susie’s favorite movie (1983’s One Deadly Summer). Read more at The Red Hand Files.
Nick wrapped up his North American tour with The Bad Seeds earlier this month, and he has solo shows in Europe and the UK coming up this summer and fall. See all dates below.
