There’s a lot going on in the world of Japanese “Jet Rock” icons Guitar Wolf. First and foremost, they’ve announced they’re making a sequel to 1999 cult classic sci-fi/horror/rock-n-roll film Wild Zero. The kickstarter for the movie officially launches on March 10 and they’ve already shared a teaser trailer, which looks pretty cool. Watch that, and the trailer for the original Wild Zero, below.
Guitar Wolf will also head out on their first North American tour in five years, which happens this spring. We haven’t seen an official announcement yet, but dates include Atlanta, Philadelphia, DC, Brooklyn (Elsewhere Hall on May 17), Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas and Houston. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 AM local time. All dates we’ve found are listed below.
Crowd funding for the Wild Zero sequel begins March 10 on kick starter.
We have prepared a lot of rewards that are unprecedented in the history of cinema!
