NYC “medieval fantasy heavy metal” band Castle Rat are gearing up to release their new album The Bestiary on September 19 via King Volume/Blues Funeral (pre-order), and ahead of its release we’re premiering the video for its soaring new single “WOLF I.”
“‘WOLF I’ was born from a place both primal and tender—a visual spell cast from scraps and sheer instinct,” says Castle Rat’s Riley Pinkerton. “Every piece of it—the wolf, the white wizard, was handmade and pulled straight from the gut. I directed, styled, and edited it myself because, it’s a living myth, a part of the Castle Rat lore, a feral dream I had to make real.” Check out the video below.
Castle Rat also have a tour beginning tonight (9/4) in Kingston, NY, and the North American wraps up back in New York at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 5. All dates are listed below.
