Jenny Lewis is currently on her Joy’All Ball tour, which hit Richmond on Sunday night at The Broadberry. She’s been ending her shows with “Acid Tongue,” the title track to her 2008 debut solo album, and for Sunday’s show she brought out a Richmond celebrity to help out. “Please welcome to the stage Sawborg Destructo,” Lewis told the crowd, bringing out the GWAR member, who joined the backing chorus. When Jenny sang “So I found myself a sweetheart with the softest of hands,” Sawborg raised up his chainsaw arm to cheers from the audience. Watch that below.
Jenny wraps up her Joy’All Ball tour this week with shows in Saxapahaw, Asheville, and Charleston, SC and will also be out with The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie later this summer, including San Francisco’s Outside Lands and DC’s HFStival. Solo dates are listed below.
