Watch Carry On make a surprise (partial) reunion at Sound & Fury for f

LA hardcore fest Sound and Fury went down this past weekend with headlining sets from Knocked Loose (who brought out Deafheaven’s George Clarke and Scowl’s Kat Moss) and Basement, plus Trash Talk, Poison the Well, Scowl, Mindforce, Pain of Truth, Kruelty, Big Ass Truck, Pest Control, Balmora, and more. And like in past years, there was a surprise.

In the middle of God’s Hate‘s set, Terror (who also played the S&F kickoff show) came on stage for a five-song set, and that was followed by a partial one-song reunion from Carry On, which had vocalist Ryan George (who’s currently one half of Youth Code) and guitarist Todd Jones (who currently leads Nails and used to be in Terror and still collaborates with them) joined by God’s Hate’s Taylor Young on guitar and Colin Young on drums. (I’m not 100% sure who was on bass.) They played “Off My Chest” from their sole, classic full-length, 2001’s A Life Less Plagued, marking the first Carry On appearance of any kind in 20 years, and it looked and sounded awesome. Meanwhile, it looks like that’ll be God’s Hate’s last show for a while. They said they’re now on hiatus:
