The Donald Trump vs Bruce Springsteen saga continued when Springsteen collaborator Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine weighed in during his set at Boston Calling on Sunday (5/25). He played in front of a giant “Fuck Trump” backdrop, and The Independent reports that on stage he said, “Bruce is going after Trump because Bruce, his whole life, he’s been about truth, justice, democracy, equality. And Trump is mad at him because Bruce draws a bigger audience. Fuck that guy!”
Boston-based journalist Kevin Slane shared footage of Morello’s backdrop, as well as video of Morello holding up the back of his guitar to reveal to the audience that it says “FUCK I.C.E.”:

Previously, Trump demanded a “major investigation” into Springsteen, Beyoncé, Bono, and others, claiming that they all accepted money to appear at 2024 Kamala Harris campaign events. Days later, Springsteen released a new EP with recordings of recent anti-Trump comments that he made on stage.
Neil Young also backed Bruce and called out Trump in his own recent statement, given a few days before Neil played ’80s deep cut “My Boy” live for the first time since 1983.
