Teenage hardcore band XCOMM, featuring Scott Ian’s son Revel Ian on drums, have announced their debut album, Time to Burn, due out May 22 via Blowed Out Records. It was produced by Ross Robinson, who Revel says “transformed us into musical weapons that will blow your head off when you play our record.”
Robinson adds, “Nothing brings me more satisfaction as a producer than sharing that undeniable life force of untainted expression… XCOMM, being the youngest band I’ve ever worked with, I had to nickname the studio sessions as ‘daycare.’ It was so fun and alive throughout the whole process. Made me realize on another level how important the pulse of youth truly is.”
The album includes the band’s recent singles “Reasons,” “Fake ID,” “Hot Pursuit/One and Nothing,” and they’ve given us another preview of the album with “Borrowed Happiness.” Vocalist Michael Gatto says, “”I’ll forever be grateful for having the opportunity to record this album, the whole process from tracking to mixing was truly incredible. ‘Borrowed Happiness’ is one of my favorite tracks on the record, shooting the music videos with Darren and all the dudes in the van was super cool and I love when we play this one live.” Watch the video below.
