Athens, Greece metal/hardcore band Malignant are releasing their new EP The Defragmentation Begins... on Friday (11/17) via LDB Records (US), Bound By Modern Age Records (EU/GER), One Two Six Records (EU/GR) and Force of Reckoning Records (US), and we’re premiering a full stream of it today. It was mixed by Wyatt Oberholzer (of Chemical Fix and Fixation), and it’s got a big, crisp sound, which is perfect for the brutality that this EP has to offer. They cite ’90s death metal/hardcore and 2000s European vegan-edge metalcore as influences, and they say: “With this release we are finding our footing further and going all-out on sonical aggression. This EP is for us a chance to display our power and find our place and voice in the modern hardcore scene and show that there’s a young band all the way in Greece that is willing to establish itself and is succeeding in doing so.”
