Providence’s Dreamwell and London’s Death Goals live on opposite sides of the Atlantic but they’ve otherwise got a lot in common. They both make heavy, chaotic, violent post-hardcore that celebrates queer existence and says “fuck you” to everyone who doesn’t, and they’re also both just kickass bands. So it’s very exciting that they’ve teamed up for a surprise split EP that’s out today. Each band contributes two songs–Dreamwell offer up “Music To Take Teeth By” and “Suicide Commitment Issues” and Death Goal offer up “Fake Smiles And Nervous Laughter” and “Music For Cryptids”– and the whole thing finds Death Goals and Dreamwell firing on all cylinders.
Dreamwell promise “two metalcore rippers with lyrics inspired by revenge films all about your, yes YOUR, abuser dying” and Death Goals add, “Remember, none of us are free till we’re all free.”
