Minneapolis shoegazy alt-rock band Prize Horse have announced their first full-length album, Under Sound, due February 16 via New Morality Zine (pre-order). The album was made with past collaborator Corey Coffman of Gleemer, and it features recent single “Your Time,” as well as the just-released “Further From My Start.”
“‘Further From My Start’ was the last song we wrote, so it encompasses a lot of themes from the album, musically and lyrically,” says guitarist/vocalist Jake Beitel. “To me the song is a reflection on the last few years of my life and fighting a feeling of detachment from it. Wanting to let go of negativity in the past while stubborning acknowledging it’s formed me into who I am now.”
