Mötley Crüe recently released “Dogs of War,” their first single in five years (and first without co-founding guitarist Mick Mars), and they’re about to begin a tour that will have them out through the summer. The run begins at Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena on May 3 and 4, which are the only NYC-area stops, but it seems the band may be doing something in NYC after all. An Instagram post from them has art reading “1981,” “Live @ The Bowery Ballroom,” and “May 6,” and a ticket listing for that night at the venue goes on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 AM Et, with a fan club presale starting Thursday, May 2 at 10 AM ET. The year 1981 is a significant one in Mötley Crüe’s history. It’s the year they formed and released their debut single, “Live Wire,” and their debut album, Too Fast for Love.
