Maryland Deathfest returns for its 2025 edition on May 22-25, and after announcing their initial lineup back in May, they’ve now made a bunch of additions, including Black Curse, Blood Spore, Devourment (Molesting the Decapitated set), Encenathrakh, Evoken, Failure (the Italian band), Flesh Grinder, Flesh Hoarder, Gates of Ishtar, Havukruunu, Hulder, Imperial Crystalline Entombment, Malignancy, Martyrdöd, Mournful Congregation, Nordjevel, Obscene, Of Feather and Bone, Ruin Lust, Saccage, Satan’s Satyrs, Tankard, Triage, Weregoat, Witchcraft, and Witchtrap.
Organizers say that this announcement “largely completes the lineup for MDF 2025” but that 15 more bands, appearing at Angels Rock Bar, are still to be announced. They also say that lineups by day and venue are coming soon, as is the lineup for the pre-fest.
The new additions join such previously-announced bands as Obituary (Cause of Death set), Paradise Lost (Draconian Times set), Cynic (Focus set), Celtic Frost performed by Triptykon, Asphyx, Dark Funeral, Nile, Orange Goblin, Civerous, Coke Bust, Negative Plane, Wormed, and more. Four-day passes are on sale now, and single-day and venue passes are expected to be available in two weeks.
