Former Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley launched his new band Many Eyes last year with the debut single “Revelation” and revealed that a full album was on the way. Since then, they put out two more singles and toured with Thursday, and while they still haven’t confirmed concrete album details, they did just announce three album release shows: one on September 20 at Baltimore’s Ottobar and two more in October in St. Louis and Lakewood, Ohio. A new press release says “info will soon be revealed” about the album, so stay tuned.
Many Eyes also revealed that their original guitarist Charlie Bellmore, who made the album with his brother Nick Bellmore and Keith and did Many Eyes’ first tour with them, is no longer in the band. Their new touring guitarist will be Craig Vittorio of Tzarina, and the touring lineup is rounded out by Keith on vocals, Nick on drums, and touring bassist Sean Vallie. Keith says:
We’ve parted ways with Charlie Bellmore. We thank him for everything & could not have gotten this project off the ground without him. We wish him nothing but the best with all of his current/future projects and we look forward to the possibility of writing with him again when the time comes.
UPDATE: Charlie has now released his own statement, which reads:
Some time ago Keith called me and informed me I was no longer involved with Many Eyes. Does it suck? Yes, it absolutely does in reality what can ya do?
Keep moving forward.
With all bands you’re supposed to be a team, and if you have a person that’s for some reason effecting the team that person has to go unfortunately. Nobody else understood it, but that’s what needed to happen in order for Many Eyes to continue so that’s that.
I hope everyone loves the album when it comes out. I truly adored writing it the entire album with my brother Nick and with Keith, and I’m completely heartbroken I’ll never play the songs live again.
