Louisville, KY festival Louder Than Life returns for its 11th annual edition on September 18-21 at Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center, and after revealing over 30 artists over the past couple of months, they’ve now unveiled the full lineup. It includes over 160 bands performing on 6 stages, and they’re calling it producer Danny Wimmer Presents’ biggest lineup yet. As we’ve come to expect from Wimmer fests, it’s loaded with huge metal bands from all throughout the genre’s history and it also dips its toes into 2000s post-hardcore & emo, the current hardcore scene, pop punk, shoegaze, and more.
Slayer, who were forced to cancel their 2024 set due to severe weather, will return to headline 2025 on Thursday instead, and the lineup also includes Lamb of God, Down (with Pantera’s Phil Anselmo, Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein, Corrosion of Conformity Pepper Keenan, Eyehategod/Crowbar’s Jimmy Bower, and Goatwhore/Crowbar’s Pat Bruders), former Sepultura members Max & Iggor Cavalera‘s band Cavalera (performing 1993’s Chaos A.D.), Carcass, Municipal Waste, Rob Zombie (performing White Zombie’s final LP Astro-Creep: 2000 for its 25th anniversary), Exodus, The Black Dahlia Murder, Fear Factory, Fulci, Kublai Khan TX, Sanguisugabogg, Full of Hell, The Story So Far, Acid Bath, Deftones, $uicideboy$, A Perfect Circle, Knocked Loose, Dream Theater, Cypress Hill, Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Insane Clown Posse, Glassjaw, Fleshwater, Superheaven, Kittie, Failure, Drain, Scowl, and more.
