Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson is gearing up to release his solo album The Mandrake Project in March. The album has a 12-issue companion comic series, and Bruce will be in NYC next week to promote it at two events.
The first is at Saint Vitus on January 16. Tickets are $90 and come with a comic that you can have Bruce sign after the Q&A (which is with Loudwire‘s JoDiVita), and you also get one Troper beer with a complimentary cup and “additional swag from Z2 Comics.”
Bruce will also be at Midtown Comics Downtown on January 17 at 5 PM for a comics signing. You must purchase issue #1 at the store to attend, and it’s limited to the first 180 people to arrive.

The 12-issue limited series is an epic saga of opposing forces battling to use the powers of science and magic to gain control of immortality. It’s a story developed by Bruce over the last decade, and “The Mandrake Project” is brought to life through his creative partnership with iconic team of creators — including script by Tony Lee (“Doctor Who”, Marvel, DC), art by Staz Johnson (Marvel, DC), lettering by Troy Peteri (“Amazing Spider-Man”, “Witchblade”), coloring by Gabo (DC, Image), covers by multiple Eisner winner Bill Sienkiewicz (“Moon Knight”, “New Mutants”).
