The first annual New York City Tattoo Arts Convention goes down at Terminal 5 on July 26-28, and they’ve just announced an absolutely stacked lineup of hardcore bands that are playing it. The music goes down on the venue’s rooftop (a 400-capacity space).
Friday night (7/26) has two Revelation Records vets, the first Into Another show in a while and the first-announced Orange 9mm reunion show (which they recently teased), plus Raw Brigade, newer Rev band Spaced (who just released their great debut album This Is All We Ever Get), and Popeye from Farside’s new band Calling Hours.
Saturday night (7/27) is a “Rooftop New Wave Dance Party” with DJ Alexander Barton, and the Sunday matinee (7/28, with doors at 4 PM) will have Integrity‘s second NYC show ever, plus fellow ’90s metalcore pioneers Earth Crisis, and Deadguy, and newer hardcore bands Scarab, and All 4 All.
The convention also includes with tattooing and tattoo contests, food trucks, a skate competition, book signings, a hot rod car show, and more.
Anthony “Civ” Civarelli from Gorilla Biscuits and CIV is also involved, and “will be sharing some of his ephemera collection of NYC tattooing, as well as pieces from collectors.” CIV and Shelter are also playing shows together this week.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 5 at 12 PM ET.
