Rising PacNW black metal great Hulder has announced a new tour for this fall, including a West Coast leg with Spectral Wound and Aridus in September and an East Coast leg with One of Nine in October. The latter hits NYC on October 23 at TV Eye, and tickets for all dates are on sale now. All dates, including a newly-announced appearance at Maryland Deathfest, below.
Earlier this year, Hulder released Verses In Oath, which we named one of the best metal albums of 2024 so far. To quote Colin Dempsey, the new album “has a chunkier, more tangible sound that she revealed late last year with ‘Vessel of Suffering.’ There’s more bite and grit on her tongue without foregoing the synths that cradled her. Speaking of Spectral Wound, their new album Songs of Blood and Mire just came out today on Profound Lore. It’s the Montreal black metal band’s first album since 2021’s A Diabolic Thirst, and to again quote Colin, this record “continues what its predecessor merely insinuated–bringing the buried corpse of rock and roll closer to black metal’s surface.
