We were expecting a new album in 2022 from the UK’s Higher Power — one of our favorite modern bands that fuses hardcore and alt-rock — but it never came. That could have something to do with the fact that they parted ways with Roadrunner, who released their last album, 2020’s great 27 Miles Underwater. And though they’ve been touring the past couple years (including currently in the USA with Neck Deep and Drain), the once-super promising band has felt kind of in limbo, so it’s great news that today they’ve finally announced a new label home at Nuclear Blast, along with releasing a new song and video!
Vocalist Jimmy Wizard says, “I’m super excited to release this song. It’s really personal to me in this transitional period of my life, about wanting a deeper more meaningful connection to the real world and not quite being equipped to do so, but finding hope and figuring it out. The music reflects that with a song that’s so big and upbeat.”
