NYC black/death metal trio Gravesend have announced that they’ll follow their great 2021 debut LP Methods Of Human Disposal with their sophomore album, Gowanus Death Stomp, on October 27 via 20 Buck Spin (pre-order). The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Arthur Rizk, and the first taste is “Even a Worm Will Turn,” which starts out as a blast of grindy fury before venturing off into murkier, swampier territory. Gravesend are also gearing up for some shows with their 20 Buck Spin labelmates Kommand and the supergroup-worthy band Innumerable Forms (members of Dream Unending, Power Trip, Genocide Pact, Iron Lung, and more), which sounds like it will be a very gnarly triple bill. The run kicks off at Ridgewood, Queens’ TV Eye on November 30. Tickets go on sale Friday (9/30) at 11:30 AM. All dates are listed below.
Kommand released their new LP Death Age earlier this year and Innumerable Forms released Philosophical Collapse last year. Those albums were also both assisted by Arthur Rizk.
