After nearly 20 years, the underground metal label Gilead Media is closing up shop. The label launched in 2005 and has since released music by Krallice, Thou, Falls of Rauros, Mizmor, Kowloon Walled City, The Silver, Couch Slut, Portrayal of Guilt, Mutilation Rites, Imperial Triumphant, Hell, and more, and they just announced a collaborative album from Mizmor and Hell–who have worked together many times over the years but never made a full-length album together–which the label says will be one of its three final releases. The full announcement reads:
Coming this fall: The first full-length album by Mizmor & Hell. Prepare for “Alluvion.” Whereas other instances of ALN & MSW’s musical relationship were based on recorded guest appearances or live lineup assistance, this album shows them working entirely collaboratively for the first time on an album crafted together.
This release will mark the end stage for Gilead Media, and will be one of our final three new releases leading up to the label’s closure. More details on that and Alluvion soon.
