Heavy, proggy Boston doom band Elder are one of the best metal bands around. They released the stellar LP Lore last year, showcasing the kind of fire-breathing guitar playing, skill for long, dense prog-metal compositions, and ear for catchy riffs and hooks that can really get you going. While they haven’t announced any particularly extensive touring plans for 2016, they do have some shows coming up, as they’ll be heading to Europe, hitting Psycho Las Vegas, and now scheduling a NYC date.
Elder will drop in at Saint Vitus on August 23 (right before Psycho Fest), where they’ll be joined by heavy psych-sters It’s Not Night: It’s Space. Tickets for that are on sale now.
