Drain have shared the second single from their anticipated third album …Is Your Friend, and the song and its tour footage music video is a tribute to drummer Tim Flegal, who–as revealed in this video–was diagnosed with cancer.
“11 years ago Drain was started by our drummer Tim Flegal,” the video’s on-screen intro text reads. “In those 11 years, Tim has never missed a single practice, show or even a tour. He wants nothing more than to be with us now, but he’s at home kicking cancer’s ass. This goes out to Tim Flegal.”
The song is called “Stealing Happiness From Tomorrow,” and just like lead single “Nights Like These,” it’s a killer mix of thrash/groove riffs, anthemic hardcore, and the uplifting joyful spirit that Drain so expertly weave into their evil riffs. Check it out below.
